BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

We’re based in Scotland and there’s a reason why we’re surrounded by such beautiful green landscapes.  Whilst we have measures in place to ensure you have a successful experience at the bee school, we are sometimes at the mercy of the great Scottish weather.

Naturally, opening a hive in adverse condition upsets and angers the bees, not only will this be harmful to the bees, but they’ll also most likely have a few choice buzzwords and may bee even a sting or two to whoever is nearby.  It’s definitely an experience we’d rather we didn’t expose you to. We monitor the weather daily but can only make a judgement call up to 5 days in advance.

Bee Safaris: If we do need to cancel your Safari, we will notify you using the details provided at the time of booking and will offer you the option of a full refund or alternative date.

Two-day Weekend Bee School: Bee Schools will continue as scheduled, however there may be occasions where we may need to reschedule practical hive time to a date that suits the student.

Student Cancellations


Bee Safaris:
In event of a cancellation more than 5 days before your Safari, a refund of the ticket value minus a £5 admin fee per person will be given. Please note that a refund cannot be offered if a cancellation in made within 5 days or less to the Safari date. To cancel your Safari and claim a refund, please email us at thebeekeeper@thebeeschool.co.uk.

Sometimes life happens and there may be an unexpected need to reschedule your booking, reschedulling will only apply to following:

  • Only if there is space on your preferred reschedule date.
  • A reschedule is requested no less than 5 days prior to your Safari.
  • Tickets holders cannot request more than one reschedule.
  • Ticketholders who reschedule and then cancels a rescheduled date, will not receive a refund.
  • The Bee School cannot support any ‘on the day’ reschedules, this will be deemed as a ‘no show/cancellation’ and will not be subject to a refund.

Two Day Weekend Bee School: In the event of a cancellation, a refund of the following proportions will be awarded:

  • 1 month prior: a full refund, minus £10 admin fees.
  • 2 weeks prior: 50% refund, minus £10 admin fees.
  • 1 week prior: no refund.

Up to 2 weeks prior to your course, a free transfer to an alternative date will be offered (subject to availability) – however any transfer will result in any further refund being forfeited. Courses can only be transferred once. To claim a refund please email thebeekeeper@thebeeschool.co.uk.

Equipment

Where equipment is provided by The Bee School e.g Bee Suits, gloves, tools etc. it is expected that they be treated with all reasonable care. Where a case of neglect results in damage to the equipment, the students will be expected to reimburse The Bee School with the replacement value of the item.

How to claim a refund and complete transfers

Please email us at thebeekeeper@thebeeschool.co.uk to request transfers and refunds which will always be available within the durations listed above. Unfortunately, we are not able accept any last minute refund or transfer requests, whether by email or telephone, which occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

SHIPPING POLICY

Thank you for visiting and shopping at The Bee School . Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time: All orders are processed within 1-2 working days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or bank holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates: We use Royal Mail for our shipping, please see follow the Royal Mail link for detailed shipping costs and durations Royal Mail 2021 Rates

Shipping charges are dependant on weight, size and destination of your complete order and is calculated and displayed at the checkout.

Shipment Tracking

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking: You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes: The Bee School is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages: The Bee School is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.  Also, please contact us at thebeekeeper@thebeeschool.co.uk and where possible attach mages of damaged delivery.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping Policy

We do offer international shipping, as with UK shipping our provider is Royal Mail and their Internal Shipping prices can be found here:  Royal Mail 2021 Rates

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at thebeekeeper@thebeeschool.co.uk and send your item to: The Bee School, Church Road, Luss, G83 8NZ. Tel:01436 897277

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: The Bee School, Church Road, Luss, G83 8NZ.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
