Kids’ Summer Bee School- Wild Bees & Pollinators
To kick of our Summer Bee School we will be exploring pollination and all the wonderful benefits that come along with it. We will go over everything honey bees and other wild pollinators do, why pollination is so important and what little things we can do to help our pollination population. We’ll learn what the process of pollination actually is through games and activities, maybe even collect some pollen of our own! Then we’ll get suited and booted and head down the apiary for a hands on hive inspection and see some real pollinators at work.
This session is for any budding beekeeper from 6-10 years old and is part of our Kids Summer Bee School programme, and will run from 12:30-3:30pm from Old Kilmaronock Kirk.
