This week we will focus on the beloved honey bee, learning about what honeybees are, what the difference between the queen, the worker and the drone is, what food they eat and what they forage on and even learn what their favourite colour is! Then we’ll get our dancing shoes on and learn all about the waggle dance, and test our dancing skills. Finally, we’ll finish off with another hands on hive inspection and maybe even catch a live dance in action.

This session is for any budding beekeeper from 6-10 years old and is part of our Kids Summer Bee School programme, and will run from 12:30-3:30pm from Old Kilmaronock Kirk.
